Ubiquitous

06/14/2012

She left again
It was just a simple matter of when
Now, I am free
Liberty is not a thing for me

Ive got the devil in me
And hes screaming to be free
Oh, the way you bitch at us
You're so ubiquitous

But it was the first, time for me
Are we just an old, dying breed?
I feel the heat, under this hot sun
And I think I might just, be done

And when you said I lie
I felt it deep inside
Oh the way you bitch at us
You're so ubiquitous

Red horizon cradles, the blue moon
Everything changes, way too soon
The haze of the day, turned right into night
And as the hue grew dim, I think I lost my sight

And when you crash into me
I explode
Just like a gasoline tanker
Runnin down the road

Ive got the devil in me
And he's screaming to be free
Oh, the way you bitch at us
You're so ubiquitous

By Daniel Bruening and Jon Grider on a random Thursday in July of 2010.

Recording Notes:
The cicadas are going in the Demo's background.

I had just come up with the music the day before. Initially, the chorus just went AG,AG,AG,AG. Jon suggested going to the F on the last one. That was clutch. Lyrically, we both riffed off of each other. It's a rocker!
